Ferndale Estates is a 50-lot community in rural Whatcom County, about 20 minutes south of Bellingham and close to the I-5 corridor. The marine climate means mild, wet winters and dry summers - typical for northwest Washington. Lot rent averages $495 per month and includes trash pickup, water, and sewer service.

The community welcomes residents of all ages and allows pets - one small dog or cat per home. Homes are individually owned; residents pay monthly lot rent for the land. The park has been operating since 1978 and uses well water and septic systems.
