What does fun look like to you? Rediscover it at Thousand Trails’ Birch Bay Campground! An RV campground located on Birch Bay, Washington's largest tide flat, we are conveniently close to the US and Canadian border crossing.
When the tide is out, the fun begins! Explore the Birch Bay coast, go crabbing, clamming, or build a sandcastle. At high tide, the outdoor adventures continue with kayaking, boating, and swimming. Kids will especially enjoy spending time at the waterslides located just south of this RV campground. Out of the water, there is still lots to do with bird watching, walking, and bike riding.
Plus, this RV campground near Bellingham Bay offers plenty of on-site fun! Enjoy our seasonal pool and activities for children. Explore the many games in our family lodge or spend time in the adult lodge which features billiards, exercise equipment, guest computer, and more games. There are horseshoes, playgrounds, walking paths, and an off leash pet area so that your 4-legged family members can enjoy our Birch Bay Thousand Trails RV Campground.
The diversity of this area is vast! Shopping, restaurants, entertainment, and small-town USA delights abound in nearby Bellingham, Blaine, Lynden, and Ferndale. And with Mount Baker bordering us to the east, you are sure to enjoy camping near Bellingham at this Thousand Trails RV campground.

RESERVATION & PAYMENT POLICIES:
- Your credit card will be charged Itinerary Total prior to arrival, up to a maximum deposit of $250. Any remaining balance is due prior to arrival.
- Rates based on 4 people (2 adults/2 children).
- Prices and site type are subject to availability.
- The rates displayed do not include any applicable service fees or charges for optional incidentals.
CANCELLATION POLICIES
Prior to May 28, 2021
- If you cancel your reservation 14 or more days prior to arrival, you will be charged a $25 administrative fee.
- If you cancel your reservation within 14 days of arrival, you will forfeit your deposit, up to a maximum of $250.
- In the case of multiple sites booked, cancellation penalties apply to each site that is cancelled or changed.
- No refunds will be issued for early check-out.
From May 28, 2021
- RV CAMPSITES: We allow full refunds for cancellations up to 48 hours prior to your arrival date for daily and weekly reservations.
- RENTAL ACCOMMODATIONS: We allow full refunds for cancellations 7 days prior to your arrival date for daily and weekly reservations.
- DAILY AND WEEKLY RESERVATIONS: for cancellations received less than the required notice period prior to arrival, your deposit will be forfeited up to $250.
HELPFUL INFORMATION:
- WiFi only available in the lodges and surrounding area.
- Pool is closed for winter from late September to mid May, weather dependent.
- Maximum of 6 persons per site. More than 6 persons will require rental of an additional site.
- Extra vehicles (over 1 passenger vehicle) are charged $10 per vehicle, per night.
- If 50 amp service is available, there is a $5 per night fee.
- Pets are not allowed in our rentals.
- No ground fires allowed- must be in fire pit (fire pits are available for rent).
