Country View is located just south of the Twin Cities' Metro area, on the border of Lakeville and Farmington, Minnesota. Because of its size, Country View has the welcoming atmosphere of a small town, yet offers the convenience of being close to a large metropolitan area, shopping, recreation, schools and much more. Country View's most defining feature is likely the abundance of trees and foliage, which give the community a very home-like, "clean and green" appeal. Besides three large parks, two with playground equipment and one with a baseball diamond, the community has a heated outdoor swimming pool during the summer months, staffed by certified lifeguards. Each August, the community sponsors a catered dinner for all residents in conjunction with the National Night Out activities that are held throughout the country to promote crime-free, drug-free communities.
