For a day in the city, head 50 miles northeast to Chicago and take in the sights. It’s easy enough to spend a full day exploring the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, and Adler Planetarium along Lake Michigan. But you might also want to visit the free Lincoln Park Zoo, stroll along Navy Pier, or take one of Chicago’s famous nighttime architecture cruises along the river.
