Description

Sun Outdoors Association Island is an all-ages manufactured home community located in 15530 Snowshoe Road, Henderson, NY 13650.

Get away from it all with a vacation to Sun Outdoors Association Island, formerly known as Association Island KOA. This gorgeous vacation destination, situated on Lake Ontario near the region of Thousand Islands in New York, is not only a great campground, it’s a 65-acre island in the town of Henderson. Bring your big rig and set up on full hookup RV sites, or rent one of the cozy and comfortable cabins or lakefront cottages.

This amazing property also includes an outstanding amenity package that includes all the right ingredients for a getaway you’ll never forget. We have a convenient marina with 65 slips, and boat launch for those who want to set out on their own vessel for boating, fishing, and other watersports. You can also book a fishing trip through Rodfather Fishing Charters, conveniently located right on Association Island.

The list of amenities available at our resort is extensive, offering a variety of fun activities and planned events to entertain everyone with you, plus additional favorites like:

  • Take advantage of recreational rentals like pontoon boats, kayaks, paddleboards, bicycles, and golf carts to explore this area any way you choose
  • Enjoy a bite on the go at the Black Catte, our activity center that includes a snack shack, billiards, large-screen TV and WiFi access
  • Cool off on those hot summer days at our swimming pool area, conveniently located next to the Black Catte
  • Find games for the young, and young at heart, at the clubhouse, plus a toddler playroom, bathroom with showers, and laundry facilities
  • Have fun with family and friends playing outdoor games like shuffleboard and horseshoes, or shoot some hoops at the basketball half-court
  • The convenience store offers camping and RV supplies that you may need, as well as snacks, drinks, apparel and souvenirs, toys, firewood, and a propane station
  • Let the kids have some fun at the playground and jump pad area; the jump pad is kind of like a giant trampoline and is great fun for everyone
  • Bring your poles and gear for some of the best freshwater fishing you’ll ever get to experience. We have designated areas along our shoreline on Lake Ontario, so guests can cast out for lake trout, bass, walleye, sunfish and more
  • Our conference center is the perfect place to host events like RV rallies, meetings, family reunions and weddings

While there is plenty to do and see right on Association Island, we encourage you to venture out and discover the rest of what this area has to offer. About an hour north, is the breathtaking Thousand Islands region, an area on the St. Lawrence River that straddles the border of the U.S. and Canada. These islands are home to elaborate castles like Boldt Castle on Heart Island, and Singer Castle on Dark Island.

Head roughly an hour south of our campground to discover the great local attractions available in Syracuse. Enjoy some time on the wild side with a visit the Rosamond Gifford Zoo; or experience shopping at Destiny USA, the largest mall in New York. Check out the Art Deco architecture landmark at the Niagara Mohawk Building, or spend some time in the many museums available in this city.

Treat yourself to a trip at Sun Outdoors Association Island to escape from your everyday and come back refreshed from your time on Lake Ontario. Book your New York vacation with us today – we can’t wait to welcome you!
