Experience RV and tent camping at our premiere RV resort on the Santa Barbara coastline at Sun Outdoors Santa Barbara, formerly Ocean Mesa RV Resort. Our incredible location provides a stunning backdrop of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Ynez Mountains, and offers guests the perfect combination of affordable accommodations and upscale amenities.

Choose from spacious full hookup RV sites with concrete pads that can accommodate up to 50 feet, or you can have a rustic experience on our circular tent sites. We also offer resort amenities to enjoy during your stay, which includes an invitation to many of the events hosted at our sister property, El Capitan Canyon:

  • Enjoy a refreshing dip in our heated swimming pool area, overlooking the property and offering gorgeous ocean views. It also includes a hot tub to relax after a day of fun-filled activities in the Santa Barbara area
  • Take the kids to play and let out some of that energy at our children’s playground
  • The expansive green lawn and horseshoe pits provide a great recreational space for the whole family
  • Providing a natural hub for gathering and conversation, the market features products like camping gear, souvenirs and apparel, beach gear, a selection of local wine and craft beers, plus seasonal outdoor movie nights on the market lawn
  • Our guests are also invited to attend events at our sister location at El Capitan Canyon, which includes their concert series and wine tastings hosted at the El Capitan Canyon Market
  • If you’re looking for an outdoor adventure, visit the El Capitan Canyon Kiosk for information on our docent-led hikes on our private trails, plus visits to our llama and goat farm

The surrounding area of Santa Barbara has been luring visitors to for decades with its pristine beaches, and charming downtown area. Here, you’ll discover upscale boutique shopping, fine dining, nightlife and much more. Other popular attractions include stargazing, whale watching tours, the Santa Barbara Zoo, as well as historical sites like the Old Mission and El Presidio de Santa Barbara.
